1-  Get out your screwdriver and carefully disconnect all the power leads and       cables.
2-   Find a nice box, and pack it up securely.
3-   Carry it out to the car and take it to your local repair shop.
4-   After a day or so you develop withdrawal symptoms, a nervous twitch and your       partner starts nagging "for crying out loud, ring the damn shop!!!"
5-   Eventually, the work is done. You go back to the repair shop and pick up your       computer.
6-   When you get back home you unpack it.
7-   You replace all the power leads and cables.
8-   You switch on, boot up, and hope it works.

Approximately 75% of all the work we do can be completed in your own home.

And if your PC does have to go to the workshop, provided the parts are available, the job is normally completed inside one or two days.
